How do I disable or enable cookies on my computer ?

I am unable to access a website I have previously been able to. This is since I swapped to an older computer. I need to either disable or enable cookies (I can’t remember which). How do I do it ? Thanks.

On your Internet explorer page, go to :

Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy -> Advanced

And there you can choose what you want to do with your cookies (enable/disable them, etc)

You can also go to :

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Internet Options… (the rest is the same)

If you are using any fairly current version of Internet Explorer run your curser up to the little gear that is in the third line down from the top of the page and over on the right side. If you click this a pull down menu will drop down and there is a line which says “Turn ON (OFF) popup blocker”. Set this the way you wish.
Or you can go into Internet properties, advanced from your list of programs and set sites one at a time.

You can enable cookies by going into internet options from your Internet Explorer menu. There you can do it. But I personaly think that in your case, the problem is not about cookies but about internet security level.

Go to “Start” – “Control Panel” – “Internet Options” – “Privacy” – “Advanced” check mark on “Override automatic cookies handling” and there you can block the “First party or “Third Party” cookies manually.
